Queer Croydon

Queer Croydon is a grassroots LGBTQ+ community organisation building visible, accessible queer spaces across the borough. I have been their photographer across events, workshops and community programmes, documenting performances, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, producing community headshots and creating features for their website.

Work has spanned Their Majesties, their flagship monthly drag cabaret at The Oval Tavern; the Boxpark Pride Takeover and Taste the Rainbow party series; the Queer Croydon Christmas Extravaganza at Stanley Arts; and the UK's first ever South Asian Queer Pride festival in April 2024, a landmark day of music, cabaret, dance and workshops celebrating the intersection of South Asian identity and queerness. Alongside the events, I've also documented their wellbeing workshops and community programmes, the quieter but equally vital work happening beyond the stage.
